S311G is both a digital indicator with analog input (V, mA, Ohm) and voltage/current generator. It is expandable with ModBUS interface which allows the analog retransmission of the measured value to an isolated output in voltage or in current.S311G has two operanting modes: "AUTO" where it measures an analog value and retransmits it on the output; "MANUAL" where it generates a defined value on the output. In manual mode, and during the transition between one mode and the other, it is possible to configure a signal attenuation function ("bumpless transfer"). This feature avoids voltage/current dangerous surges and water hammers improving instrumentation longevity and reducing the associated maintenance costs.
