Durch die hohe Lichtintensität bietet der Sensor eine hohe Funktionssicherheit selbst bei Störfaktoren wie Dampf, Nebel oder Staub. Über den Testeingang kann der Sender abgeschaltet werden, um die Funktion der Einweglichtschranke zu testen. Die IO-Link-Schnittstelle kann für die Einstellung des Sensors (PNP/NPN, Öffner/Schließer, Schaltabstand) und für die Ausgabe der Schaltzustände und Signalwerte verwendet werden.
