Faseroptische Sensoren arbeiten nach dem energetischen Prinzip, bei dem Licht über ein Lichtleitkabel ausgesendet und über ein anderes empfangen wird. Durch die Verwendung vielseitiger Kunststoff- oder Glasfaserlichtleitkabel mit Adapter Nr. 4 kann der Verstärker an unterschiedlichste Applikationsanforderungen angepasst werden. Die Einstellung des Schaltpunkts erfolgt dabei einfach über ein Potentiometer. Sowohl die Lichtleitkabel als auch der Sensor lassen sich werkzeuglos montieren, was die Handhabung zusätzlich erleichtert.
